Golden rule

Diffida delle parole che arrivano gratis. Una parola che hai dovuto imparare è una parola che hai imparato bene; una parola arrivata senza fatica è arrivata probabilmente col significato sbagliato attaccato. Se riesci a indovinarla senza controllare, controllala.

Alcuni falsi amici sono solo strani; qualcuno è imbarazzante. Chiedere a un collega di assist a meeting significa chiedergli di aiutarla. Dire che controllerai il suo lavoro significa che lo prenderai in mano, non che lo verificherai. In una email di lavoro cadono male entrambi, e nessuno dei due sembra un errore.
