Cookie Policy
Last updated: 24 July 2026
This page explains how NuovaLingua uses cookies and similar technologies.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a site stores on your device to make it work, remember preferences and keep it secure. Some features use similar technologies (e.g. browser local storage).
2. Which cookies we use
We use a limited number of cookies, all necessary or functional. We do not use advertising-profiling cookies or third-party behavioural analytics tools.
- Necessary (always on): authentication and session, security (e.g. anti-CSRF protection), storing your cookie choices.
- Functional: remember preferences such as language and currency.
- Measurement (only with your consent): a single cookie of ours (nl-src, 90 days) recording which channel you found NuovaLingua through — for example "instagram" or "google". It holds only that one word: no personal data, no identifier, and it is shared with no one. It tells us which channels work. If you decline, it is never written.
- Third-party technical (triggered by features you use): Stripe at payment, Daily during the video call, Google only if you connect your Google Calendar.
- Advertising (only with your consent): if you arrived from one of our ads, the Meta pixel (Facebook and Instagram) tells us how many people completed the exercise or signed up, so we know whether that campaign is worth continuing. We do not use it to show you ads elsewhere. If you decline, it is never loaded.
3. Legal basis and consent
Necessary cookies rely on our legitimate interest in providing a secure, functioning service and do not require consent. The other cookies are used based on your consent, which we request via the banner on your first visit and which you can change or withdraw at any time.
4. Managing cookies
You can change or withdraw consent from the Platform’s cookie settings and manage or delete cookies in your browser settings. Disabling necessary cookies may impair the site’s operation.
5. Duration
Some cookies are session cookies (deleted when you close the browser), others are persistent (kept for a defined period, e.g. to remember your language or consent).
6. Changes and contact
We may update this Cookie Policy; the current dated version will always be available here. For questions write to privacy@nuovalingua.com.
